Cabinet Maker

Description:

    • Kris Halliday & MKH Developments are searching for a highly skilled Cabinet Maker to join our in-house team of professional builders and skilled laborers. Kris Halliday is an internationally acclaimed designer and builder, creating the absolute best and most unique luxury mansions the world has ever seen. Kris and the MKH Developments team strive to utilize the newest technological innovations and fresh perspectives from up and coming skilled laborers to designing and building luxury mansions that exceed a certain size threshold.

    • The ideal candidate for this position is one who can work autonomously while maintaining a high level of production and expertise, has a high attention to detail, has knowledge of custom cabinetry design and aesthetic, will maintain a clean and efficient workspace and can work well under precise time constraints and deadlines.

 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Construct and assemble cabinet components, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified

  • Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges and side panels, always using blueprints or design plans for reference

  • Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work, including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills, sanding and finishing tools

  • Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, and order replacement materials as needed

  • Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units

  • Reinforce joints and attachments to maximize sturdiness and durability without compromising aesthetic appeal or functionality of cabinets

  • Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws

  • Able to build custom cabinetry pieces in an efficient manner

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of necessary mathematics and formulas for proper measurement

  • Applicable engineering and design skills

  • High Attention to detail

  • Two or more years of cabinet making experience

  • Work under time constraints to meet specific deadlines

  • Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices

  • Strong ability to read and interpret shop drawings

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Proficiency with Design Software (AutoCAD)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Excel, Word

  • Enjoyment of learning and taking on new challenges

  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
